Choosing Nautical Home Designs for your rental pieces means supporting a local, woman-owned small business. As a one-woman operation, I’m personally involved in every aspect of your rental experience — from building the pieces, to communicating with clients, to greeting you at pick up and drop off.
Because of this, and my busy family life, my business operates a little differently than larger rental companies. Please review the important information below before booking.
All rentals are picked up and dropped off in the Spryfield area of Halifax.
For clients requiring delivery, an outside delivery service is available and must be booked in advance. Delivery rates start at $210 roundtrip within HRM and include delivery, set-up, and pick up.

A 50% reservation deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due 14 days prior to pick up.
Bookings made within 14 days of the pick up date require full non-refundable payment at the time of booking.
Cancellations are permitted up until 14 days before pick up. Within 14 days of pick up, all payments received are non-refundable.
At this time, email money transfer (EMT) is our preferred method of payment.
A valid credit card is required on file at least 14 days prior to pick up as a standard precautionary measure. The card acts as a security deposit for the rental items.
To avoid damage, rental items must not be left unattended or exposed to adverse weather conditions, including rain, snow, or strong winds. This includes during transportation, set up, and the event itself.
Our prices reflect the rental amount for the entire weekend, not per day, as we are closed on weekends & only offer full weekend rentals. Please see drop off/pick up times below.
To inquire, please fill out the rental inquiry form. If it's available, we will send the rental agreement with deposit instructions.
Since we only have one of each piece, once the rental agreement is sent, your event dates are only held for 24 hours while awaiting payment and signature and will automatically expire if not received in that timeframe.
Yes, we post on each listing if there is a transportation requirement & what it is. It is up to the customer to measure and make sure something will fit before coming. Without the proper transportation, items will not be released and the customer is still responsible for the full amount of the rental order. A rescheduling option may not be available.
For safety reasons, rentals cannot be transported unsecured or sticking out of windows/trunks. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle will work, feel free to message us before pickup and we’d be happy to help confirm.
Yes! But you will be the one responsible if damage occurs during transport. It is also your responsibility to make sure the right size transportation is sent. This is a home-based business that is available by appointment only, therefore requires customers (or their delivery person) to adhere to scheduled pick up times.

Yes! A week before the balance is due, you will get an automatic email with a heads up that your balance is due in a week. And then on the due date, you will receive another email.
A cancellation request must be made by email from the email address that booked the rental.

As a small, locally owned business, we primarily accept Email Money Transfers (EMT). This helps us avoid high processing fees and allows us to keep our rental pricing as fair and affordable as possible for our customers.
If needed, credit card payments can still be accommodated; however, an additional processing fee will apply.
